The Art of Healing on Heroic Mode?

WHAT, druid healing on heroic instances? Hell no…

Yeah druids healing at heroic are much gimped at the moment. But I’m sure the next patch we will get the chance to prove that we can as much do the same as other classes. Even with talent and such, our overall heals / efficient are still not as good as any other classes claim by people around. 1st of all, Healing Touch casting time is in 3sec with talent without talent is at a massive 3.5 sec cast time. So getting heals in fast are a big issue for us. Even with the fastest heals that we’re able to use are Regrowth which is at 2sec cast time, is not an efficient healing spell to used for over all duration.

The average heal on it is not as effiecient as Healing Touch, although the healing over time that comes together with it. Still not the best spell to be use over time in an instance. Unless you‘re talent are spec into Tree of Life, it might just cut it out. But still Healing Touch is the way to go, is slow but is good. There are ways to maximize the spell, one of them is to reduce the casting time on it. My current talent spec allows me to reduce the casting time by 0.5sec of the next spell after a critical cast. So that give me 2.5 sec cast time on Healing Touch. And on top of that with Scarab of the Infinite Cycle proc you should be able to reduce the cast time on Healing Touch to of 1.93 sec.

Is not hard to heal in heroic instances, is just that you’re group need to have good DPS. If not is going to be hard for you to actually last thru out the duration in combat. I always make sure that I start of my heals on the target with Regrowth then just spam away the Healing Touch. Recast Regrowth on target once it expired, rinse and repeat until you’re out from combat. You can combo together with Rejuvenation as well as Lifebloom, the healing over time is the bread and butter for druids healing. It really helps on buffering the Healing Touch cast time.

Macro Nature Swiftness with Healing Touch is another life saver in every situation. If you have Swiftmend you will have 2 instant cast ability with you.

Gruul this week was awesome, eated him on 1st attempt. High King Mulgar wasn’t that awesome, could have one shot him. As usual things get cranky when new people are in the raid, not to say that they suck or anything. I think they need to be on the toes at times on the things they need to be doing. Did not get the chance to upgrade any of my gears last week. Hoping for a wind of change this week, with patch day coming things can only get better I hope.

Easy Mode On.

As per my expectation, the patch version 2.1 did not roll out on last night’s maintenance. So another week of “Easy Mode”, hoping for some great run this week. Monday run on Gruul’s wasn’t that impressive, but certainly another moment to ponder about. Main tank died thru on Growth no.13, just about when we manage to drop him on 1% HP left in him. Paladins were happy on that night, another week of loots that we’re least to expect from it.

Trying to look forward to patch version 2.1, all level 70 epic gears are getting buffs. More improvements on the stats on them to compensate some of the nerf’s certain classes will be getting on the next patch. I don’t think the next patch will make much impact on everyone’s game play. Everyone just need to improvise on the changes or at least make adjustment to the changes.

All the gear changes according to my friend, is to help those player who don’t have chance to progress fast in the player vs. environments content in the game. I would say this is bullshit, but I’ve dare not to back this up with my own words. Mainly players across the other continent have the edge over us on the internet connections. As well as the mentality of self over others, is already hard to please 40 peoples last time around. I hope people would understand the concept of being a team player at times.

Unproductive week...

This week's Karazhan raid wasn't that impressive as far as my concern. Group 1 didn't manage to clear the instance, left with Nightbane to dealt with. We had to use a new main tank for the week as our usual tank was away for the week. Much impressive start on day one on the instance.

Cleared all the way to The Curator, on the next day we killed Prince Malchezaar with out much problems. Made our way to Nightbane after that, we had a go at him. Wiped a lot of times, most probably not enough heals on the main tank to last thru out until Phase 3. Tanking wasn't the issue on hand that day, postpone the killing of Nightbane over the weekend. Not a good turn out, eventually we have to skip him for this week.

Hopefully tonight's Gruul's Lair would be a productive run. Looking forward to this week's raids. Keeping finger cross on the new patch which is estimated to be release this week... eventually.

Healing is a marathon.

The thing about healing is like doing a marathon with your ability to focus on what you're suppose to be doing. I can roughly say that a 4hours of raiding for healers is like a marathon because the amount of focus you have to give is limitless.

Keeping people alive, not just 9 others. But then a 25man raid comes into mind it gets more tiring. Not to mention before the release of Burning Crusade, healers for 40mans raid are into the similar mental marathon over the space of 4-6 hours of raiding.

Is easy to lose focus if you're half asleep, at times I couldn't keep myself up if my tired. Talk about people who complains about playing other classes that does not heal. Maybe is just me, I like to keep people alive 1st myself later =P

My healing user interface at the moment. You should see it when I'm raiding =).

Going to make this a WoW blog...

Since I have nothing much to talk about, I've decided to make this a World of Warcraft blog.

Started playing this game since 16th August 2005, roll a druid on Horde side at realm Smolderthon. Got accepted into the guild name SycK, they wanted druids at that time. So that's how it all started. Basically spend my whole entire WoW career there for the past 1 year and 4 months there until I decide to transfer my druid to another realm.

Tichondrius is where I reside now, made a lot of new friends in the process. We recently down Gruul the Dragonkiller one of the new bosses in the 25man raid instances. Was intense fight and as always I went berserk over the TeamSpeak as everyone was shouting for joy on the success after killing him. Took us 2 days time on attempt to get him down (well that is counted on the attempts we made on him with my current guild's members, if not we took like 2 weeks to get it right)

Last week's kill was more memorable for me, as I was given the green light by the raid leader to pump some DPS into the fight. That was our problem over the weekend where our usual dps wasn't around. Hope I will get more chance to DPS in near future =D

More details on what is DPS is all about, visit WoWWiki

Ill post more as I'm still trying to figure out what to post in this blog lol.

Doing the right thing.

At times I wonder if I would still be staying at my previous job. What would I end up with? Most probably I would be "living paper weight". I guess I made the right choice to leave my previous job.

One of the best decisions I made for myself. I learn a lot of things from my current job at an retail outlet as a supervisor on duty.

Human management is definitely one of the most exciting things then I've learn to dealt with. Come to think of it, I emo more then I used to. L O L

Hmm... seems I got things to blog about today.

Shh... I'm back... I think...

Hmm, whether I'm going to blog again. It will all depends on my mood, it could be a year, months, weeks, days that I might feel the urge to blog. But at the mean time, I'm still alive and kicking. Yes I still smoke, although I stop for like 3 months.

The nicotine is all under control in my blood stream, thanks to the Lingzi pills I've been consuming for the past 6 years IIRC... well if I'm wrong, heck just shoot me.

Work have been kind of hectic these days, but then again is a thankless job being in the retailing line =P I guess... K E K.

Chinese New Year is coming soon, was hoping for a long break for work. But meh, business as usual. I can only take a few days off for the CNY week. Better then nothing. Can't wait to get into my new pair of shoe. Which is a yearly anticipated event for myself on CNY. Don't ask me why, but I always look forward to get my old shoes replaced.

My life, current still as usual. Still no attachments with anyone of the opposite gender. Well, good ones are hard to come by nowadays. Even so, all are already taken. 2 more years to go for myself, I mean my target of "GOALS" in life... Is gonna be a close call I guess =)

Ill just let god drive my love life for now. As always... the word I like to use at times, "It Depends"

Fast fast la...

Such a boom month, just recently my ex boss wife gave birth to a baby girl. He is just 4 years older then me. Sigh...

Today is my friend's wedding, and she is only one year older then me. Time really flies... or should I say the time is not moving for me instead? I wonder...

Going to break my head again this coming weeks. So many things to worry and so many things to do. But then again, if I don't do it who will?

Will you do it for me? I think not =P

Cheerio...

Patching things up...

Yeah patching my World of Warcraft game as we speak loller... what are you all thinking?

Anyway, same old drill at work today. Nothing much for me to learn anymore, I think... perhaps I have to search for things to learn about.

So hard to hire people to work at retailing line these day’s... partly due to World Cup maybe? Meh, hope things will turn up well. Need to hire 3 more people to work at the shop. Sigh, good employee are hard to come by these day's.

Yay, finally have time to post... O rly?

Holy blog resurrection Batman!

Yeah finally take the luxury to post since last year... WoW almost a year already since I last posted up a journal. Yeah WoW, World of Warcraft. The game that has taken over my life.

Been juggling my work with my leisure life, it seem that I spend more time at the shop I'm currently working at then having a time of my life. Well maybe in the end something will turn out well. Hopefully...

World Cup 2005 on this month , couldn't be bother watching it. Since that incident I don't want to think about it again. (Want to know more about this? Well this is for me to know and you to find out =P )

I'm playing this MMORPG game called World of Warcraft since last year, and I meet lots of new friends in the process as well. But I wonder will I be in the same path where all the shit started 5 years ago? Meh ironic... But then again, I found is really burning out me at time. But, but... I still love this game... Maybe I have to take a break or something.

Heh, posting here now obviously taking a break from it =P

HELLO WORLD !!! AGAIN!!!

Oh, Happy Father's Day to my dad. Also to those dads out there as well.

Respect.

Responsibility + Effort = ???

Finally, yeah reply again at my blog. Been measuring my room floor and leaving house for something else other then work. Sad eh? My parents were asking to look for job, which I already did. So is not my fault entirely that my oyabin (stands for boss in Japanese) ask me to work at home.

I don’t think anyone buy this excuse that I gave; come to think of it… with my academic qualification. I don’t really deserve this, well maybe I can relax until the big hell unleashes in the next few months. Should be able to handle it… I guess… Does the responsibility given able to blend in with the effort that someone will give out?

The out come would be, I should say… depends on the individual. I for one are someone who like to put in extra effort if require to. Unless, I don’t have the heart to take responsibility/task/work handed to me. Another early morning babbling… Well it seems that is been awhile.

The last I known that I’ve posted at this time was when I were at my old company. How time flies… I think that is almost one year passed.

1st week, hmm... I really started my work ar?

Yeah, started work last week. My boss gave me 5 more days off just to do some analysis on the shops warranty department. Oh boy, tomorrow will be the day I propose to him what is going on with the department. Hope everything will turn out well.

This is just a quick rant on my life at the moment. Going of for a futsal game now. As always, Wednesday is futsal day for me.

Yes, still not yet started my work...

Wasting my free time over and over again with this Warcraft 3 : Frozen Throne custom map game called DotA - Defense of the Ancients. Basically you get a random hero or if u choose to pick one yourself to go head to head with other players in a game of 1vs1/2vs2/3vs3 and so on and so forth. The fucking objective of this game is simple.

Keep yourself alive, I mean defend your team defense tower and keep the Tree of Life for the Sentinel and Frozen Throne for the Scourge from being destroy. As either team tower collapse from being attack from other team hero's, the game is getting tougher.

Well if still don't know what the fuck I'm talking here. Well, nevermind then. I spend mostly all my time playing this custom map for the pass 5 weeks. Still learning how to play well in this game. So this is who I spend my time now. How fucking lame. Starting work soon, hopefully on the 1st of July 2005. Till then, ill be doing some research these coming weeks on PDA's and Pocket PC.

ARGGG, I really need to do something better then leaching my life out from this game...

Back On Track... Are You Sure?

Bah... Been "measuring floor" for the past few days at home. Basically being at home, facing the computer, then take my food, sleep. About sleeping... Well been sleeping like a pig recently. Need to get my body clock back in-synch again with my previous work time sleep.

Going for a trip today to Penang. For a friend's wedding reception. Boy oh boy, seems like everyone is getting married... Thinking hard about my future now. Single Chinese boy, piff... I guess I have to use my heart to find a girl that I like. Not by the looks... Well I don't think is will go fair with what I have just mention?

Personality 1st? Look 2nd? Ill say is a bull shit. Most guys will go for looks, well... I think most of them. Don't be so shallow "la" brother.

Take care everyone who visit this blog. Ill be back... Hopefully without a inch increase on my waist line...

The hardest thing to say...

Good bye? Well is not that I'm dying or something... (touch wood). I officially leaving my current company Synovate Sdn Bhd. I glad that I'm able to be a part of that company journey thru-out 3 years and 11 months. If I wasn't given the chance to work there, I won't be able to discover new friends as well as listen to advise that will change some courses in my life. I thank all my friends once again.

So where do I go from here? Greener pasture? Well I just hope that with my new work, I'm able to push on myself to be a better person. Heck a job with out challenge is just another stagnate paper weight.

See you again my friends. Ill still be around. Just SMS or e-mail me for makan-makan(eating session). Ill be there... If my new job doesn't tie me up that MUCH! =')

R&B, Trance or Dangdut sir?

It's been awhile since I indulge myself into KL club trance scenes. 1st problem is that, my usual party gangs were not at KL anymore. My friend, who I met at my office working as an intern continued her study at Australia. Missed her so much, I wish her all the best in her studies.

She missed half of her semester at her university due to an operation on her brain to remove a blood clot due to Cerebral thrombosis. Thou it's on the early stages, I'm still shock that she survived. I hope that god is on her side. But hey, I think she has to stop smoking... =).

ZOUK KL, a local club at Klang Valley. Was the place I were last night. They held the Heineken Thirst Asia Pacific Semi Final, and the winner was from Indonesia. They had a superb performance, eclipse over the Japanese woman DJ.

In which her England is bad, she really need an image consultant as well. Apart from her 13th years experience in DJ scenes, she really does need a major make-over on her self image. I was practically drunk, so the only way to get myself out of it was to dance. Thank god the music was right on my ear's "G" spot for trance music.

I dance thru out the remaining 3 hours, and now my legs from the knee onwards were numb. I glad that I've manage to get the alcohol out from my system, if not I'm not sure if I could drive myself home.

SO by this post on my blog, that means I'm saved and sound. I would like to thank all my friends for the company last night. Really enjoyed it, I can't wait for the next one... perhaps...

And then it was the next day...

Finally Friday the 13th May 2005 has passed. SO many things happen on that day, makes me look so bloody inferior to myself. I was so close to burst myself out into tears YET again. But manage to hold on and go thru the day.

Not sure what was the heck with this kind of feelings at the moment. Maybe I'm going to miss my friends and colleague when I leave my current company in precisely 10.5 days ( The 0.5 days is due to my HR department minus it out from my leaves. I personally ask them to do so). Been working for almost 3 years and 11 months on that company.

Bear witness the ups... and then totally down for the company management. Fucking demoralising for most of the staffs around. So... lets hope now this coming 10.5 days left, would be a good one worth to remember for the rest of my life.

Over Roger, Over and out...

Yeah, right... Miss communication always occurs. This is a two way event, not one but two. If this always happen to you at times which you least expected. You got a serious problems over there.

How to solve this issue?

Well I guess you can start to find out what is the problem, is it on my side? Or the other party? One way or the other. I always takes two to tango. Note to self:- MUST make sure myself take the initiative to make all the things clear to who ever I will have a conversation in the future... PIFF!!!

Yes or No, True or False, Real or Fake?

Well, writing this up basically I can’t figure out what my “other part” of my life is thinking at the moment. Should I take my time on searching again for what is bothering me like what I have previously waste my 3 years time?

If I choose to do this again, I don’t think I’m able to find the things that I would want. Waste of time ill say. So right now I hope when the time comes, I mean when I start my new work. I hope that as the days goes by, IN some way that God or anyone will show me the correct route to follow in order to find that “think” that has been bothering me since 3 years ago… Well is coming to almost 4 years now.

Mr. Brightside...

The meaning behind this song from “The Killers”, I myself not sure about this. But I just can’t stop listening to it. Yeah I kind of get hook with indie rock music now. Finally ill be leaving my current job for the past 3 years +. Will be starting my new job on June. A totally new line of work for me.

I have been staying in the comfort zone far too long. Is time I take some chances on my work and life? If I choose to say longer at my current company, Ill be a heavier paper weight. So wish me all the best this coming June as I embark on a new journey towards a new career in my life…

Perhaps there is a Mr. Brightside after all…
