Swift Flight Form ITW

Well worth the 5000golds spend on getting myself the Swift Flight Form, the best thing is you can gather herbs while in this form. So Swift Flying Mount < Swift Flight Form =D. Quest begins at Moonglade, but to obtain this quest. One must already learned 300 Riding Skill i.e. spend the 5000golds to learn it. After that you will be ask to do a chain of quest to summon a boss in Sethekk Halls in order to complete the quest. Before I start the quest I was left with only 218golds to spare, I was worried on this amount as the repair bill on my current gears will accumulate up to 19golds from 100% durability to 0%. Now after the series of quest done, I manage to double up that amount and on top of that doing instances to test out the new patch which of course enables me to get this Swift Flight Form. Now I’m sitting happily at 1000+golds since patch day and the 5000golds I spend. I also got myself new Balance Spec leggings from heroic The Blood Furnace instances. Very happy indeed because all these while I’ve been using my healing legging to DPS (Check out my armory.worldofwarcraft.com profile). Still looking for a new chest piece to replace my current one, hopefully can get another run to Mana Tombs and be a fruitful one XD. Going to try to get a group to The Old Hillsbrad just hoping the DPS head piece and the glove drops'. Gruul’s on Sunday, going for Magtheridon on Monday. This week’s Karazhan run for my group wasn’t very productive, didn’t even have enough people for day 2 for the run. Hopefully things will turn out well next week.

Many thanks again to "Bends", "Asuth", "Tunn" and "Dartana"

The Art of Healing on Heroic Mode?

WHAT, druid healing on heroic instances? Hell no…

Yeah druids healing at heroic are much gimped at the moment. But I’m sure the next patch we will get the chance to prove that we can as much do the same as other classes. Even with talent and such, our overall heals / efficient are still not as good as any other classes claim by people around. 1st of all, Healing Touch casting time is in 3sec with talent without talent is at a massive 3.5 sec cast time. So getting heals in fast are a big issue for us. Even with the fastest heals that we’re able to use are Regrowth which is at 2sec cast time, is not an efficient healing spell to used for over all duration.

The average heal on it is not as effiecient as Healing Touch, although the healing over time that comes together with it. Still not the best spell to be use over time in an instance. Unless you‘re talent are spec into Tree of Life, it might just cut it out. But still Healing Touch is the way to go, is slow but is good. There are ways to maximize the spell, one of them is to reduce the casting time on it. My current talent spec allows me to reduce the casting time by 0.5sec of the next spell after a critical cast. So that give me 2.5 sec cast time on Healing Touch. And on top of that with Scarab of the Infinite Cycle proc you should be able to reduce the cast time on Healing Touch to of 1.93 sec.

Is not hard to heal in heroic instances, is just that you’re group need to have good DPS. If not is going to be hard for you to actually last thru out the duration in combat. I always make sure that I start of my heals on the target with Regrowth then just spam away the Healing Touch. Recast Regrowth on target once it expired, rinse and repeat until you’re out from combat. You can combo together with Rejuvenation as well as Lifebloom, the healing over time is the bread and butter for druids healing. It really helps on buffering the Healing Touch cast time.

Macro Nature Swiftness with Healing Touch is another life saver in every situation. If you have Swiftmend you will have 2 instant cast ability with you.

Gruul this week was awesome, eated him on 1st attempt. High King Mulgar wasn’t that awesome, could have one shot him. As usual things get cranky when new people are in the raid, not to say that they suck or anything. I think they need to be on the toes at times on the things they need to be doing. Did not get the chance to upgrade any of my gears last week. Hoping for a wind of change this week, with patch day coming things can only get better I hope.

Easy Mode On.

As per my expectation, the patch version 2.1 did not roll out on last night’s maintenance. So another week of “Easy Mode”, hoping for some great run this week. Monday run on Gruul’s wasn’t that impressive, but certainly another moment to ponder about. Main tank died thru on Growth no.13, just about when we manage to drop him on 1% HP left in him. Paladins were happy on that night, another week of loots that we’re least to expect from it.

Trying to look forward to patch version 2.1, all level 70 epic gears are getting buffs. More improvements on the stats on them to compensate some of the nerf’s certain classes will be getting on the next patch. I don’t think the next patch will make much impact on everyone’s game play. Everyone just need to improvise on the changes or at least make adjustment to the changes.

All the gear changes according to my friend, is to help those player who don’t have chance to progress fast in the player vs. environments content in the game. I would say this is bullshit, but I’ve dare not to back this up with my own words. Mainly players across the other continent have the edge over us on the internet connections. As well as the mentality of self over others, is already hard to please 40 peoples last time around. I hope people would understand the concept of being a team player at times.

Unproductive week...

This week's Karazhan raid wasn't that impressive as far as my concern. Group 1 didn't manage to clear the instance, left with Nightbane to dealt with. We had to use a new main tank for the week as our usual tank was away for the week. Much impressive start on day one on the instance.

Cleared all the way to The Curator, on the next day we killed Prince Malchezaar with out much problems. Made our way to Nightbane after that, we had a go at him. Wiped a lot of times, most probably not enough heals on the main tank to last thru out until Phase 3. Tanking wasn't the issue on hand that day, postpone the killing of Nightbane over the weekend. Not a good turn out, eventually we have to skip him for this week.

Hopefully tonight's Gruul's Lair would be a productive run. Looking forward to this week's raids. Keeping finger cross on the new patch which is estimated to be release this week... eventually.

Healing is a marathon.

The thing about healing is like doing a marathon with your ability to focus on what you're suppose to be doing. I can roughly say that a 4hours of raiding for healers is like a marathon because the amount of focus you have to give is limitless.

Keeping people alive, not just 9 others. But then a 25man raid comes into mind it gets more tiring. Not to mention before the release of Burning Crusade, healers for 40mans raid are into the similar mental marathon over the space of 4-6 hours of raiding.

Is easy to lose focus if you're half asleep, at times I couldn't keep myself up if my tired. Talk about people who complains about playing other classes that does not heal. Maybe is just me, I like to keep people alive 1st myself later =P

My healing user interface at the moment. You should see it when I'm raiding =).

Going to make this a WoW blog...

Since I have nothing much to talk about, I've decided to make this a World of Warcraft blog.

Started playing this game since 16th August 2005, roll a druid on Horde side at realm Smolderthon. Got accepted into the guild name SycK, they wanted druids at that time. So that's how it all started. Basically spend my whole entire WoW career there for the past 1 year and 4 months there until I decide to transfer my druid to another realm.

Tichondrius is where I reside now, made a lot of new friends in the process. We recently down Gruul the Dragonkiller one of the new bosses in the 25man raid instances. Was intense fight and as always I went berserk over the TeamSpeak as everyone was shouting for joy on the success after killing him. Took us 2 days time on attempt to get him down (well that is counted on the attempts we made on him with my current guild's members, if not we took like 2 weeks to get it right)

Last week's kill was more memorable for me, as I was given the green light by the raid leader to pump some DPS into the fight. That was our problem over the weekend where our usual dps wasn't around. Hope I will get more chance to DPS in near future =D

More details on what is DPS is all about, visit WoWWiki

Ill post more as I'm still trying to figure out what to post in this blog lol.
