2008 Raiding Commence

again, We raided SSC last night. Almost one shotted everything that cross our path, I guess everyone is rusty as I've predicted. Actually everyone predicted that lol, but our memory on the boss fights still fresh as always in our mind. Apart from some hiccups but nothing serious to implicate that we're going to have trouble hitting Mount Hyjal & Black Temple soon.

I was assign to heal last night, need to get used to raid healing again as a whole. I suck last night, and the only fight that I'm able to show some positive results we're on Fathom-Lord Karathress. I love healing on this fight, also able to benchmark how well a healer can sustain on the fight with their mana pool. I think I was holding back, but I hope I didn't, looking forward for tomorrow's raid.

Hope that I get the chance to go Feral Combat this time, is been awhile since I raided as a non healer XD.

Patch 2.3.2 is today, see you guys & gals at Azeroth/Outland.

Lagging or Just Lazy?

One month break from raiding has already reached the end, WDK will raid again starting tomorrow 6th of January 2008. Would the raid succumb to the "rusty" syndrome ? or can we pick up from where we left off from 2007 and improve on it? I really want to see Illidan Stormrage before the next big patch comes version 2.4, which would feature the last 25mans instance before the next expansion comes out.

Many other SEA guilds already starting to raid The Black Temple for the past couple of week, so do WDK have the momentum to catch up with them? Can we make up the time lost in between the past one month of no raid? Are we still going back to the "farming" instances? Certainly everyone would be eager to raid, BUT are you Prepared?

Are we going to make the same old mistakes over and over again? Are we going to stuck on a boss for another couple of months? I really hope not, cause seriously we have the capability to perform better when it matters. Just at time out focus are often interrupted with some ill judgments which can be avoided every time. What ever the case is, I hope 2008 will bring more "hunger" then "haggling" for WDK.

As always, For The Horde!!! We Are Prepared?

Arena for PvE,

Are you one of them? I've just got my 1st piece of Season 3 Arena class specific set to upgrade my previous healing legging from Karazhan the Earthsoul Leggings which I've been using for almost 8-9 months for raiding. Don't blame me for the lack of upgrades I've not been doing, Our guild have shit luck on drops class sets drops.

Let's put that aside and continue on our discussion on PvP to PvE. I get most of the people are doing it at the moment, but is it a viable option for most of the people out there? Is there any much different from raiding to gear yourself up? Obviously there is, you need to spend DKP to purchase the items you want also depends on how hardcore of a raider you are. The major downside on this is you have to fight among you guildmates of them, most of it are class specific loots.

This always leaves you with no option but to spend a very high amount of DKP points on them if we really want it and render us pointless on getting other cross class items. On top of it, some are item upgrades for them as well as for yourself. Things always turn out bad, but eventually everyone would have the same share on the loots in time. But if you would spend the same amount of time to get the Season 3 class specific set as your PvE upgrades the only thing you need to sacrifice is time. Also eliminating the inconsistency of the item drops on instances, but you lose out on the important stats for PvE most of them are Spirit, Spell Chance to Hit, Melee/Range Chance to Hit just to name a few of them.

But if they are clearly upgrades for you, there is always other option on gears to balance back the stats you lost out from them from other slots. So if you are doing this at the moment, I hope you spend your DKP point wisely on the other slots items so you don't gimp yourself completely in PvE environment.

Will Tank for Badge of Justice...

Often called upon when needed, some say Feral tank = easy mode. I say this is almost the same skill that you need to learn from any other classes that can tank. I've read so many guides and blogs out there about how to maximise or improve you're tanking skills. I have to admit and "kowtow", it really takes experience. To be honest I love tanking, holding on the mobs and building hate all around them as much as I can. But at times certain situation requires experience of a veteran player who played much of his time in WoW as a meat shield.

Last night heroic was another good example of me being an inexperience as a seasonal tank, Shattered Halls was the instance that we went. I've must be wondering the last time I was tanking we breeze over like it was a walk in the park. Class composition on my last visit there was Feral Druid, Holy Paladin, Combat/Hybrid Rogue, Enhancement Shaman and Destruction Warlock, 5 badges in our bag pretty easily with some minor wipes after Grand Warlock Nethekurse room heading to Blood Guard Porung (Heroic).

Did some readjustments and we manage to get through and finish of the time event, yesterday was no exception. Did the same routine only to wipe on our way to Warbringer O'mrogg, was a stupid called that I made. I was using my technical knowledge on mobs to kill rotation, Cloths > Plates or Casters > Melees and it turn out bad. Wipe we we're, thus plans we're changed and Shattered Hand Legionnaire need to be killed beforehand in order for the extra adds to be spawned if he is not killed in time.

1st packed cleared, my healer nearly died. I was wondering why this was harder then my last run I did with almost the same class composition, only changes was out with Combat/Hybrid Rogue in a Frost Mage. Probably our same Destruction Warlock wasn't on TeamSpeak thus the communication wasn't there to help feared the mobs away from our healer? But I blame most of my text book mistakes on myself, for not brushing up on it. Wipe again on the 2nd sets of pack, because I've decide we should fight at the hall way instead of the small section room area before the hall way to O'mrogg.

Yet another text book mistake on decision to clear the mobs there. My credibility as a tank might have taken another step down the hill from the view of the officers, well I hope not. Cause I have to prove to them I can do better if given the chance again.

Can't really wonder more on last night run, but eventually hope it will not happen again. I think is about time I write on some where what I should do when being tank and not do when being a tank. Keyboard turning almost minimised and I'm need to step up on my awareness again. WTB more PvP arena matches XD, lol.

Speaking of which, Ill write up my views on my terribad adventure of my current arena escapade.

For now, give me chance again and ill prove them wrong. GULP... XD

Changes, again. Seems pretty boring...

Yeah another change to my blog, If you must then you can just browse around my older posts since the beginning. Which has no relation with my current focus/topic of discussion on my blog.

Putting this blog purely focus on my favorite past time that I've spend so much time on for the past 2 years, yes World of Warcraft.

Why the sudden change again? I have nothing much to talk about on my real life, as you can see that I've spend so much time on this game as I think is more appropriate for me to shift blog entries towards World of Warcraft. If you guys & gals not knowing about it yet, I play a character class Druid in WoW. Horde faction & of course a tauren, what makes me choose this class instead of others was purely a needed class when I 1st started off when I started playing this game on my 1st server that I was in which was Smolderthorn.

SycK, the guild I've been for the past 1 and a half year may it be rain or shine things eventually didn't turn out well in the end. I just don't have time for anymore "drama" with the game that I've enjoy so much as a gamer and a person behind the computer screen. In then end I choose to move myself from Smolderthon server and switched to Tichondrius. Thus Wad De Kao was my new solace.

Keeping people alive was my main role as a player, never get tired of it. Never will, but at times the urge of doing other then healing with my Druid may just eventually sway my way of thinking. But with my current role as a triple class in one, I may well be just want the raid wanted? or just there to fill in the gap left by the non hybrid classes. No complains, I've always put my personal goals aside and shit it more into a team effort.

Knowing my roles at times would eventually be a win or a lose situation. So changes week in week out for me wouldn't be much of a problem. But I sure would like to have a permanent role with the guild if given the chance again. Knowing that I've apply to my current guild as a Restoration druid. I doubt they would want me to fill in another role other than that.

So much rant again, with no drama ? hopefully. Next raid will bring in some fresh mental and intelligences and bring us to the highest achievement that is available in the game at the moment, Illidan Stormrage. I would like to see him before the next big patch, which would probably would be implemented in the next 2 months. But I hope for it to be longer, but with the much of the hardcore guilds out there in US and EU servers all farming the end game content for the past 4-5 months. Ill doubt they would haggle on the next patch.

So fingers cross, hopes a lot. Hope to see you soon Illidan Stormrage.

Archimonde HALOZ!!! XD

We're 4/5 into Mount Hyjal at the moment. Most of the fights are basically same base on the executions. Just that it requires the raid to swap roles. Archimonde is the next on the kill menu, we're going to open up The Black Temple account soon. End game is near, until the next patch which should be up before 2008 2nd quarter?

Much excitement on the 4 FTK we notch up, 1st 3 FTK I was on off tanking/dps duty. On Azgalor I was needed to heal, I can say it was my worst performance in raid for the past 6 months. I hope to be better it out the next time we meet him again.

The fight is almost the same execution needed as of Anetheron, this time instead of the reduce your healing spell ability by 75% on target that has been affected with Carrion Swarm (the boss special ability). We we're instead countered with Howl of Azgalor (5sec Silence AOE Spell), Raid of Fire & Unquenchable Flames (A Fire Damage Over Time Spell). Mobility wasn't the issue here, but I was worried that if I move around a lot. I risk causing the other group of people in that next area I'm moving to getting the Rain of Fire.

Seeing people dying with out dishing out some decent fight against him wasn't a pleasant view. Next time we meet again, ill will improve myself and not make the same mistakes again. Much rant on the things going on last week, below are the screen shots of our FTK's for your viewing pleasures =P

** Rage Winterchill, Looks Like He Got Clump Up Like A 8 Ball **

** Anetheron, The Only Thing Left Was Hit Torso Armour**

Kael'thas Sunstrider dies.

**Finally It's Over, DONE AND ZHITZ!!!***

Yes, one week after my 1st post in like a month. WE finally kill this Tempest Keep - The Eye end boss. Just about when I was wondering how I'm going to make it for Monday raid should we not kill him again. On top of that it was surely our last try of the night, after like 4 solid attempts on him.

Start of the attempt on him with a dry run on phase one to show how it was done to Kiezery(the return of the prodigal son). What a dodgy attempt it was, our off tank got one shotted by Lord Sanguinar. I was guessing is going to be another one of those night where we're going to repeat the same mistakes over and over again.

Things look better after that, but as I mention earlier. WE'RE repeating the same old mistakes again. I covered my face in real life as each fail attempts unfolds. As the trash re-spawn timer countdown, I was begining to wonder if there is going to be an end to this again. Or we're just going to do this again next week with the same old mistakes over and over again.

Trashed patrol re-spawn after that, we kill them and proceed what was going to be our last attempt on him for the night. Things we're looking great towards phase 4, we're slightly behind on killing the adds but everything was going smoothly as planned. Phoenix soon spawn as it marks our entry into phase 4. Things was in control again, Kael'thas health points was going down and down. I wasn't imagining things, but his health points dip below 50%!!! and phase 5 begins!

Everyone was shouting over the TeamSpeak Server, was very hectic I could hardly hear what Zerul a.k.a Julian giving out the next order. Thank god for Hunza a.k.a Loafer asking people to just "shut the fuck up!". Into the phase 5 we we're in, basically is a sure kill on this part. But still not over yet not until his health point reaches 0%.

Soon after he died, TS was filled with scream and shouts as usual. Another instance cleared and done. Very much long over due, I have to be frank this is one cock block we can actually learn from. Just know what you're suppose to be doing, like Loafer says. "DON'T FUCK UP PLEASE!".

Many gratz again to WDK. Very good effort and one of the best attempt of the night lolz.

Kael my arse,

My 1st post in a month and I'm already ranting about this end-boss for Tempest Keep - The Eye. Not only is the most fucking complicated boss fight in the game, getting this rightly done with out problem will ensure that you are prepared to even face Illidan when the time comes.

5 Phase fight, yes F I V E phases for this fight. We finally break the phase 3 barrier last night and got ourselves into phase 4. But so much so that total concentration on this fight is seriously necessary if not is fail attempt.

This should be the last hurdle for us to reach the end-game raid. After this we can safely say that we're going to Hyjial / Black Temple.... perhaps.

Fuck this shitz.

I Mean What?

**(Hmm.. is that 24 people in the raid??)**

High Astromancer Solarian down and SSC is officially cleared for the week. We're moving at a fast pace at the moment. Keeping the momentum up, no sure what is behind this. I bet the the team spirit that in the guild at the moment.

Hopefully it will be there even with some "nazi" management while raiding kek. It help keeps everyone "On The Ballz" as the raid leader says when we we're into another attempt on Solarian.

Kael'thas will be tomorrow, kinda fucked that I can't make it. SSC is going to be my main raiding priority for these few coming weeks. After that ill might change back my schedule to suit TK. Onwards to Kael'thas Sunstrider!!!

Stay dead please?

**(Picture Courtesy From Zerul a.k.a Julian)**

WDK took down Al'ar last night, is already a done deal on that boss. Is long overdue as well, as we we're focusing on our push towards Lady Vashj which we did. So now we're shifting our focus to Tempest Keep - The Eye, next stop should be High Astromancer Solarian. Couldn't be better timed with the new patch 2.2 rolled out to the live realms as we speak.

Suppose to fix/nerf/buff the fight, what ever you call it. Hopefully it won't be another 2-3 weeks of learning phase on this boss. But I have faith with everyone, we should get the job done sooner then later =P.

Just need to keep the momentum rolling.

Morez purpelz inc!!!

2 Months and 21 days later,

**(Our 1st encounter with Lady Vashj)**

Serpentshrine Cavern cleared!

We finally got this instance done and dusted, from our 1st SSC trash pull on 2nd of July 2007 to the final killing blow on Lady Vashj by Nxz a.k.a biacth0 on 23rd September 2007. Was well worth it, even with 2 paladins in the raid we're still able to get this done. Get well soon Viktor a.k.a Raptor. We never gave up since our last attempt on her on Thursday, even when everything was against us.

The Internet in Malaysia was the biggest killer to our raid rather than the virtual mobs in the game. Class compositions on every boss encounter as well come to think about it and also getting things reminded over and over again (I have to give a big salute to Zeruk a.k.a Julian our raid leader). Everyone deserves credits for this 1st success. Our next target at the moment would be Tempest Keep a.k.a The Eye. Hopefully we will get this clear before end of October, as we are anticipating something which can be done.

I would like to thank Krensterii a.k.a Ken for the gold’s that you promised the raid when we down bosses that are so called cock blockers. But more over is not about the golds for me, is the achievements that we done as a team. Keep this up and we will be visiting The Black Temple sooner than we thought.

Lady Vashj is donez and shitz gaiz!!!

**(Done and Dusted)**

Two weeks later...

Leotheras the Blind died. We one shot him yesterday, and our 1st kill as well. Raid almost wipe on phase 3 where he split his inner demon out upon reaching 15% of his HP. We killed him well bellow the enrage timer, I guess we're kinda panic when we manage to get him to phase 3.

Now with only Lady Vashj to "dance" with, we need the consistency if we're to be able to get Vashj down. Meaning killing all the bosses with out problem with in 1-2days of raid time, can't wait to pay Vashj a visit.

WTB weekly consistent class composition, PST.

Another one bites the dust!

1 Week 2 1st Time Kill, we kill Fathom-Lord Karathress on our only 1st week attempt. Fight wasn't that complicated as Morogrim or Hydross. Pretty straight forward fight. I would say the similarity to Razogore the Untamed fight, but more piratically is the kill rotation that needs to be done fast.

Spitfire Totem must be destroy as soon as it spawn, and just kill the 3 adds that's together with him one by one. I figure out a way to spend my gold at the moment, respec my talent if needed. I respec out of 34/0/27 build, is either I go full Balance or full Resto.

Naizz work gaizz!!! Enjoy the FTK while it last =P

Morogrim Tidewalker down!

Finally after 4 weeks of trial and errors, we manage to finally get this boss who likes to play with bubbles down. Another test for the raid coordination again, I wouldn't say it's a cock block for WDK. Is more like having bad luck each week.

Class composition wasn't there, random aggro on the murlocs, Morogrim Tidewalker hitting like a bullet train on the main tank, and ISP eating the raid up as well. But we came out strong last night, going for the win instead of letting another week of attempt going down the drain. Kudos to everyone who strive on week in week out.

Finally a 1st time kill in like almost a month... =D

Priceless.

Progressing on SSC...

Notch our 1st kill on The Lurker Below on Thursday, after some avid attempts on him on Wednesday. Finally figure out how to dispose the adds he summons when he submerge. The fight itself is similar with Ragnaros.

Pretty straight forward fight, only problems was the adds that he spawns diverting all the attention off him. Onwards to Morgrim Tidewalker, he hits like a truck, and summons murloc adds as the fight goes on. The adds need to be killed fast again in order to focus dps on Morgrim.

Adds we're similar to Nefarian's Bone Constructs he summon on phase 3. But in smaller numbers, on top of that he also teleport 4 players under the waterfalls(Watery Grave). The people who we're teleport will take ~6000 damage after 6 seconds, and some falling damage. The people need to be top up their health before he cast Earthquake, if not is a certain death to those people.

Another 1st kill coming soon, hopefully XD...

And the good news is...

Hydross the Unstable downed!!!111oneoneonesatusatusatu

We started off last night with high confidence, on our 1st real attempt on him we got him down to 16% but then again the transition from Unstable form to Purified form fucked again. We manage to bring him down to below 30% on few attempts, then I screw up twice. 1st mistake was I lost my focus on healing the MT/OT for the transitions. 2nd was I didn't cross further inside from the flag point where when he cross the line he will be in unstable form.

Hope we're high on that night, but I was derail after what happen. I never make mistakes, hardly... was quite sure I cross the flag point. But then again I told myself never make those two stupid mistakes again. After 2 more try on him after the wipe on my mistake. We got him down, finally after 3 weeks of counted attempts on it.

Also got some new toys to play around with, finally Idol of the Avian Heart drop from Moroes. Fucking hell yeah, now my healing touch will pull more aggro LOLz. Got myself a new weapon, Staff of Infinite Mysteries. Now I need 3 more loots from Karazhan, then I would be a happy bird LOLz.

Been a great week for us, hopefully more to come...

My 1st Flying Mount, SSC experience, and...

Fucking hell, Blizzard. Cord of Nature's Sustenance dropped, killed Illhoof for the 1st time in many moons. We pinned down Netherspite for the 1st time as well (yeah 1st time kill, we're fucking lazy. So sue us =P)

Got exalted with Netherwing faction early this morning. On top of that gotten my 1st flying mount for free as well kek. Quite funny it seems that I was in flight form all this while as a druid. Only now able to ride a flying mount, cbf to get one when I had 275 riding skill.

Have anyone wonder why having even number percentage of critical chance gives you more chance to critically hit/strike? Unless I'm feeling a bit different or the game mechanic are screw up. Didn't have the chance to dps much nowadays. Don't have enough healers to go around these few days. So back to healing duty for me, ain't complaining much. Switch to new raid frame User Interface Addon called Grid. Very much like it at the moment. Makes healing more enjoyable I think...

SSC last night was good, improving on Hydross the Unstable attempts. But could be better if everyone didn't lose out on their concentration thru out attempts. 27% was our best effort on the night. Come this Monday I hope I can post some good news about it.

Good, Just When I Was Planning On...

Something else, the loot I wanted from Gruul finally dropped. I couldn't as for more, or should I? lolz.

Spend the whole afternoon yesterday editing WDK 1st kill on Void Reaver, don't know where to host that file at the momment... Don't think is a good video thou, But ill leave the folks out there to decide. Ill update this post or blog if the link to the file is up.

SO... looking back on my wish list again... so far...

Idol of the Avian Heart of Moroes <- No luck with this idol. Ill just settle for something else...
Cord of Nature's Sustenance of Terestian Illhoof <- FUCK IT, I got my Veteran's Wyrmhide Belt to replace this shit.
Cowl of Nature's Breath of Gruul the Dragonkiller <- finally got this, the spirit stats on it is awesome.
Gloves of Malorne of The Curator <- still waiting... and waiting... and waiting...
Antlers of Malorne of Prince Malchezaar. An optional upgrade for me, but ill settle for the glove instead. Since I got this already Wicked Witch's Hat kek.

Ill get another wish list up once I figure out how the hell I gonna clean up my bank space... Fucking Stormrage Ramient still occupying 10% of my bank space... =P

FTK - Void Reaver,

Yes, WDK downed Void Reaver. Just only our second week at The Eye, or you can say our 2nd day there. As usual trash was pain for any 25man raid at this point as we speak. Not much of an issue this week on the trash, but then again dps was weak again at Void Reaver.

Clearly missing the wanted dps class in the raid, i.e. the Shadow Priest. Misery would seriously help the caster dps much more better. I was given the green light to dps yet again. As much as I like to heal, my dps was needed =P. Both of our resident shadow priest wasn't around every time when we need them most. But I guess I can just fill in their roles =P.

Grats to the Tier 5 set winners. Another notch in the progression chart for us =).

SSC Incoming, srs buziness.

Magtheridon Down, Incoming Serpentshrine Cavern?

Yeah I know this is a late post, WDK down Magtheridon on 6th of June. With the wipes and yell over the TeamSpeak server to get the fight right for 3 nights / raid we finally lay him to rest. Now he drop a quest item that you can turn it in to receive rewards with 4 rings for you to choose. I won the 1st Magtheridon's Head, very much honored in doing so as well.

As everyone know, or if they haven't I just transfered over my toon from Smolderthorn to Tichondrius. 3days ago, mark my 3months from the transfer. Which means I can transfer this toon again "should" I choose to.

I'm very much enjoying my time with Wad De Kao at the moment. It was a pivotal point in my WoW career that I made this transfer. Never much I have enjoy playing this game, even if it's always repeatable most of the time. Still so much to progress in this game. But little much time everyone have on it.

Another win for us, and with Serpentshrine Cavern on the horizon.

Our 1st kill, hope is not the last one lolz.

As you can see, Magtheridon's Head displaying as a trophy of our victory over him. Very much thanks to everyone who made this happen. THX FOR THE LEWTS GAIZ!!!

Loots have been fucking around with us again this week. Not to say it was bad, but then again it could be better looking at the amount of effort everyone puts in week in week out. I think WDK loot seed is bug, gonna petition to a GM about this... lolz
